1. WADI RUM: explore the red desert with a guided Jeep Safari and enjoy the "martian" landscape that inspired the scenography of movies like "The Martian" and "Star Wars".
If you have time, spent here also a night to see an explosion of star in the arabic night and a suggestive sunset/sunrise
2. PETRA, one of the 7 wonders in the world! Get up early and put on comfortable shoes to visit the site by walk .. approx 16km but it surely deserves the effort! Enjoy the walk along the siq and take an epic shot of the Treasury when the first ray of lights hit its superbe facade; then explore the site and climb up the 1000 steps bringing to the Monastery for a breathtaking view of the royal tombs from the height
3. PETRA BY NIGHT.. complete the Petra experience enjoying the view of the lost Nabatean Empire enlightened by thousands of candles lights and with the sound of a Bedouin shepherd’s flute in background!
Important: Petra by night event does not take place every night and it is not possible to book the ticket in advance: so remind to check out the official website to be sure to be there at the right moment
4. AL BEIDHA... also know as "Little Petra", this archaeological site is only 10 km far from Petra and it surely deseves a quick stop! The architectures of this Neolithic village are similar to the one in Petra and are carved in the two sides of the rock separated by the narrow canyon which was also used as the main passageway. Compared to Petra it is of course less majestic but there is no admission fees and it is less crowded
5. DEAD SEA...the lowest point on Earth: approx 400 meters under the sea level! Swimming in the Dead Sea is absolutely a unique experience to be tried once in the lifetime: due to the 40% of salt concentration it really seems to float like a cork!
Unfortunately today this salty lake is progressively receding at a swift rate and it is almost the half of the extension of 100 years ago.
6. JERASH, one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. It is called also "Pompeii of the East"...unmissable!
7. AMMAN, it surely deserves a visit the ancient citadel overlooking the modern city, the roman theater as well as wandering in the souq getting lost in its smells, colors and noises
8. MOUNT NEBO...not only a pilgrimage site...from the top of Mt. Nebo you can have also a unique view over the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley and the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlem! Old testament tradition says that from this mountain Moses saw the Promised Landed
9. THE DESERT'S CASTLES (El Kharanah and Axraq Castle)... on the border with Saudi Arabia and Iraq, hidden in the desert there are several ancient and well preserved castles... not unmissable spots but a quite interesting day tour from Amman if you have time in your journey around Jordan! In our day tour we also tried a lunch in a traditional house ... lovely to taste some typical jordanian specialties and the bread cooked by the grandmother of this large family (she has ten children and 77 grandchildren!)
10. THERMAL SPRINGS OF MA'IN, a series of hot thermal springs with several waterfalls, approximately 60 km from Amman located between Madaba and the Dead Sea, perfect for relaxing a day in a wonderful natural landscape

Le Top 10 Things da non perdere in Giordania
1. WADI RUM: esplora questo affascinante deserto rosso con un Jeep Safari…ti sembrerà di essere atterrato su Marte. Questo sito ha infatti ispirato scrittori e scenografi di molti film di fantascienza: riconoscerete qua sicuramente i luoghi in cui state girate alcune scene del film "The Martian" e di "Star Wars".. Se avete tempo, trascorrete una notte in uno dei diversi campi tendati per ammirare un suggestivo tramonto, un'esplosione di stelle nella notte araba ed un'alba incredibile
2. PETRA, una delle 7 meraviglie del mondo! Alzati presto e indossa scarpe comode per esplorare questo vasto sito a piedi.. l'intero tour è di circa 16 km ma merita sicuramente lo sforzo! Arrivare presto all'ingresso del sito non serve solo a lasciare indietro qualche migliaio di turisti.. percorrere il siq all'alba e vedere i primi raggi di sole che colpiscono l'imponente facciata del "Tesoro" colorandola di rosso è un'esperienza indescrivibile.
Ma Petra non è solo questo: le Tombe Reali, il Teatro, il Grande Tempio e molto altro! Sali i circa 1000 gradini per arriva al maestoso Monastero.. lda qua si aprono scorci mozzafiato sul canyon roccioso che ha tenuto nascosto per cebtinaia di anni questo luogo meraviglioso
3. PETRA BY NIGHT.. un modo molto suggestivo per vedere il perduto impero nabateo illuminato da migliaia di candele accese con il suono del flauto di un pastore beduino come sottofondo.
Importante: Petra by night è un evento a pagamento che non si svolge tutte le sere: ricorda quindi di controllare online la prossima data per essere sicuro di essere lì nel momento giusto
4. AL BEIDHA ... conosciuto anche come la "Piccola Petra", questo piccolo sito archeologico si trova soli 10 km da Petra ed è piuttosto interessante per una breve sosta! Le architetture scavate nella roccia del piccolo canyon ricordano senza dubbio il più grande sito ma sono meno maestose; non si deve pagare il biglietto di entrata e in circa 1 ora si può vedere tutto il sito
5. MAR MORTO ... il punto più basso della Terra: circa 400 metri sotto il livello del mare! Fare il bagno nel Mar Morto è un’esperienza unica: con il 40% di concentrazione di sale sembra di galleggiare come un tappo di sughero! Da provare una volta nella vita: sensazione strana ma assolutamente divertente, da completare dopo essersi ricoperti dei fanghi naturali sulla spiaggia.
Purtroppo il Mar Morto oggi è in continua recessione e la sua superficie si è drasticamente ridotta a poco più della metà di quella che era un secolo fa
6. JERASH, una delle città greco-romane meglio conservate al mondo, chiamata anche la "Pompei d'Oriente".. imperdibile!
7. AMMAN, merita sicuramente una visita l'antica CITTADELLA che domina la città moderna e il TEATRO ROMANO oltre a perdersi tra gli odori, i colori e i rumori del SOUQ ... l'ananas essiccato, le albicocche ei datteri sono buonissimi: assaggiare per credere!
8. MONTE NEBO.. non solo un luogo di pellegrinaggio: la cima del Monte Nebo offre una vista unica sul Mar Morto, sulla Valle del Giordano e nelle giornate limpide fino ai tetti di Gerusalemme e Betlemme! Secondo la tradizione del Vecchio Testamento sarebbe da questo luogo che Mosè vide la terra Promessa prima di morire. A pochi passi dal parcheggio si può inoltre visitare la chiesa moderna all'interno della quale sono conservati dei bellissimi mosaici antichi.
9. I CASTELLI DEL DESERTO (El Kharanah e Axraq) al confine con l'Arabia Saudita e l'Iraq, nascosti nel deserto ci sono diversi castelli antichi e ben conservati ... questi castelli di per sè non sono spettacolari, ma possono essere un valido tour in giornata facendo base ad Amman; informandosi un pò si possono inoltre trovare famiglie disponibili a preparare il pranzo da gustare in una casa tradizionale.. perfetto per assaggiare alcune deliziose specialità tipiche giordane
10. SORGENTI TERMALI DI MA'IN una serie di sorgenti termali calde costellate di cascate a circa 60 km da Amman situate tra Madaba e il Mar Morto, perfette per rilassarsi un giorno in un panorama naturale meraviglioso
