The legend tells about Ebengardo and Arice who lived happily and in love in the Scaligero Castle in Sirmione until in one stormy night the couple hosted a knight: Elalberto. The knight, fascinated by the girl, joined Arice in her room during the night. Arice started screaming and so Elalberto stabbed her.
